Notification of your completion date must have been received from the Board of Education or the Secretary of State and appear on your record before a license is issued. You also must present written certification from your parent, legal guardian or, if there is no parent or legal guardian, a responsible adult age 21 or older, that you have a minimum of 50 hours of behind-the-wheel practice time, including 10 hours at night, and are sufficiently prepared and able to safely operate a motor vehicle.
