California has seen a significant increase in organ donors following the January 2 implementation of AB 60 which allows undocumented immigrants to obtain driving licenses. 9 out of 10 organ donors register at the DMV, and as of March 3, 167,000 new licenses to undocumented immigrants had been distributed. Digital driver’s licenses, or, put another way, your license on your smart phone, will be a new DMV feature within the next five years. Delaware announced in January, 2015 they are working hard to be the first state to offer this feature, and 40 other states are also exploring the option. A recent study indicates cyclists themselves can be responsible for these accidents, as the study found that 42% of cyclists do not follow road rules, such as stopping at a stop sign at an intersection.
